Make the next fertility decision with more clarity.
Understand the treatment path, compare the questions that matter, and request an introduction for fertility care in Medellín without pretending there is one right clinic for everyone.

Choose the care first. Then make the destination work around it.
A comfortable city, private care setting and travel logistics may matter, but the treatment plan and clinical team deserve the first comparison.
Before you compare flights or accommodation, ask about the diagnosis being addressed, which treatment is actually being recommended, who is responsible for each stage, what the lab does on site, and what follow-up looks like after you return home.
Plan IVF in Medellín
Start with the problem you are trying to solve.
IVF is one possible pathway, not a default answer for every fertility concern. A useful consultation should clarify your history, what testing is appropriate, what options are being considered, and what information is still missing.
- What is the working diagnosis or reason for treatment?
- Why is IVF, ICSI, donor treatment or another pathway being discussed?
- What testing is needed before the plan can be finalized?
- Which parts of the process require you to be physically in Medellín?
One fertility site, several possible paths.
The goal is to help you understand the vocabulary and ask better questions before a provider-specific plan is proposed.
IVF
From stimulation and retrieval through fertilization, embryo culture and transfer planning.
ICSI
A laboratory fertilization technique that may be discussed in specific circumstances.
Egg donation
Questions around donor screening, matching, legal documentation and treatment coordination.
Embryo transfer
Fresh or frozen transfer timing, preparation, monitoring and follow-up.
Fertility testing
Evaluation may include both partners depending on the clinical situation.
Preservation
Egg, sperm or embryo freezing may be considered for reproductive planning.

IVF is both clinical care and laboratory medicine.
A beautiful consultation room tells you very little about the embryology program. Ask direct questions about who performs the laboratory work, where it happens, how embryos are identified and tracked, and how the clinic handles storage and continuity.

The timeline starts before an embryo exists.
Treatment planning may involve records review, labs, imaging, semen analysis and other evaluation depending on your situation. International patients should ask which testing can be completed at home and which must be repeated locally.
Plan the pre-travel work
Ask for the whole treatment budget, not one attractive number.
A useful estimate separates clinical fees, medication, laboratory work, anesthesia or procedure fees when relevant, donor-related services when relevant, storage, additional testing and travel.
We do not publish invented package prices. A written estimate should reflect the actual plan being proposed to you.
Build a cost checklist
Coordinate treatment around medicine, not the other way around.

Verify the real clinician. Ignore the placeholder portrait.
This image is illustrative. When you speak with a provider, verify the actual doctor, their relevant training and professional standing, and who will personally manage your treatment. If a clinic quotes outcome statistics, ask what population, time period and treatment type those numbers represent.
- Who is your named treating physician?
- Who performs retrievals and transfers?
- Who answers clinical questions after hours?
- Who runs the embryology laboratory?
